Kuala Lumpur – A city of contrast and diversity

The moment you land in Kuala Lumpur, you see a vibrant place of contrast and diversity

It is always a hard decision for me when it comes to travelling. Scared of turbulence that we occasionally experience during flying but still love to travel, I always try to find a new place to visit with the safest flight available. Given that I lived most of my teenage years and adult life in Hong Kong, finding a place to travel that matches Hong Kong’s convenience and offers something new to experience is pretty hard.

After pondering for a few weeks, I finally settled with Kuala Lumpur due to its city convenience, gleaming attractions and, of course, close proximity from Hong Kong. There are plenty of flights going from Hong Kong to Kuala Lumpur International airport including some budget airlines like AirAsia; low cost but safe and convenient.

The moment you land in Kuala Lumpur, you see a vibrant place of contrast and diversity; people of all races and backgrounds embedded fully in the myriad of the city. It is the national capital of Malaysia; proudly housing sparkling skyscrapers like Petronas Twin Towers (once tallest in the world and still tallest twin towers) and KL Tower (a favorite place for sky jumpers), architects of colonial era and a good mixer of natural attractions.

KL Caters to all kinds of tourist needs and way-wanders whether you are a shopaholic, who prefers to shop at highend shopping malls like Suria KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur or flea markets like Petaling Street Market in China Town or nearby Central Market, or you are tharill seeker who like to leap into KL tower base jumping or shark diving at Aquaria KLCC or white water rafting. In case you are nature lover, KL does not fall short in it too. It takes you to the Batu Caves to experience the 400 million years old limestone hill. Hindu temple and shrine there attracts tens of thousands of tourists and worshippers each year. A visit to Masjid Negara (National Mosque) and National Museum are a great way for visitors to know about the religious and cultural history and
diversity of Malaysia. It shed lights on Malaysian, Chinese and Indian history, Arabic Calligraphy and cultural diversity.

Last but not the least, for the families with young kids and adults, Sunway Lagoon Theme Park is the best place to relax. With more than 80 attractions ranging from water rides to extreme sports like bungee jumping and Paintball and spread over 88 acres it is an ultimate thrilling experience for all ages; kids and adults alike.

Final words from me: If you are travelling to KL. Prioritize your attractions to visit and at least have a stay of 4 days 3 nights there to fully enjoy them.
