A student of St.Margaret co-educational english secondary and primary school, Jasdeep Kaur is all of 11 years old and already has a few tournaments under her belt. At 10 years, she was awarded the ED Green Ball Outstanding player (girl) by the Hong Kong Tennis Association. She was also the winner of the Hong Kong Interprimary School Tennis Competition.
In 2019 she was the winner of the Hong Kong National Junior Championship, the 2019 Kids Tennis Cup in Japan, and the winner of the Nissin Junior Novice Tennis Cup.
We sat with this bright upcoming star to know a little more about her.
When did you start playing Tennis?
I started playing when I was 7 years old. My parents enrolled me in a weekly class at the HKTA (Hong Kong Tennis Association).
What do you enjoy the most about playing Tennis?
I enjoy the fact that it gives me a healthy life and I enjoy the competition.
Who is your biggest supporter?
My family are my biggest supporters, and my will power.
Who is your inspiration?
Serina Williams is a legend in Tennis and inspires me the most.
Where would you like to see yourself in the future?
I dream about being an international player and winning a Grand Slam title.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing tennis?
I love reading, swimming and art.
What do you feel is very important to have (personality trait or skill) to play this sport?
The most important is hard work so you can improve your playing skills.
