It is no secret that Indians love and breathe cricket. We are so attached to the sport that we make countless films on it each year and worship those who play the sport. And with the upcoming World Cup, what’s a better idea than using this cricket obsession and doing something for the greater good? Creative Impact LTD organized a 2-day Charity Premier League with the support of Mrs. Purviz R. Shroff, MH, & Late Mr. Rusy M. Shroff, BBS, MBE, Mr. Kuldeep S. Buttar, rest of the sponsors and amazing team spirit that all the participants displayed.

Held at the PKVR Reservoir on May 25th and 26th, this wasn’t just any other sports competition – the teams were playing for a cause.

The aim was to raise funds and donate the entire amount to Justice Centre Hong Kong that advocates with and for forced migrants, bringing their voices and grievances to the fore. With the support of sponsors and participants, the company was able to donate an amount of HKD 25000. Additionally, in good faith and to bring luck for the event, a small token amount of HKD 7000 was also donated to Khalsa Diwan.

As much as they would have liked to reward every team for their participation and sportsmanship, out of the participating teams – Tung Chung Cricket Club, Island Rangers, Hangover Chargers, Shenzhen Strikers, Shenzhen Warriors, Tsing Yi Smashers, Guangzhou Challengers, Hong Kong Challengers, Rookie Willows, Tung Chung Night Cricket, Lohas Lions and Pitch Smashers – some were able to shine brighter than the rest.

The address by Mr. Vijay Harilela, our Guest of Honour and sponsor of gift vouchers from Holiday Inn, was also a segment to remember.

The aim to help the underprivileged was righteously fulfilled through this event. Creative Impact LTD looks forward to serving the community in the future with possibly a bigger and better impact.

There were a lot of special moments from the two days, some of the highlights include the moments when Mr Dino, a representative of Buttar and Associates collected an award on behalf of Chief Guest Mr. Kuldeep S. Buttar. The team was then thankfully able to present the award to Mr. Buttar in person.

Cheers to everyone who participated and we hope to see you next season!
