Seema’s Skin Kitchen – Pumpkin Chai, fall face & body scrub

From witches to everything Halloween, apple cider, sweet potato mash and pumpkin pie, the fragrances and flavours of autumn are beginning to fill the air. With colder temperatures waiting for us just around the corner, it is an excellent time to re-invent our skincare regime.

Exfoliating during the colder weather is probably one of the best things we can do for our skin to keep it supple, soft and smooth.

Filled with fibre, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, this DIY pumpkin chai scrub is full of skin healing vitamin A’s and yummy ingredients to uplift your soul. It will nourish your skin and keep it glowing during the colder months that await us.

Pumpkin Chai Fall Face & Body Scrub

  • 1 cup organic brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons pumpkin pulp with seeds and all
  • Zest of 1/2 an orange
  • 1 generous pinch of cinnamon powder
  • 1 generous pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 small pinch of clove
  • 2 drops vanilla essence
  • 2 drops bergamot essential oil
  • Enough virgin coconut oil to blend the above into a thick scrub like consistency

Combine all the above ingredients in a glass bowl. Store in a glass bottle for 12 hours as it allows flavours to infuse. Exfoliate when desired on wet skin.
