40th Anniversary of Khalsa Naujwan Sabha

Khalsa Naujwan Sabha Hockey club celebrated its 40th anniversary Celebrations at Granpa. This club has been started since 1978. The main motive of this club was to attach youth towards their culture, Sikhi thorugh sports. They made many outstanding performances in the history of Hong Kong Hockey. Other than the field hockey, they are also motivating the youth by inviting and presenting the legends of Hockey and sports in Hong Kong so that youth can take advantage from their experiences. Until now they have been invited Flying Sikh Milkha Singh , S Fauja Singh (the oldest Marathon Runner ), Olympian S Balbir Sinngh.
On the 40th anniversary celebration, Col Balbir Singh, (Arjuna Awardee, Former Captain, former Coach, former Manager of Indian Team) visited and made the evening memorable. It was great time for young players and the guests to learn and sneak peek into his legendry life experiences. To take evening on to its peak, Sarabjit Cheema , a phenomenal Punjabi folk singer turned all the stones up. His strong voice made everyone to thrill and dance on the floor. Funjabi Bhangra group made their presence well by presenting their beautiful Bhangra steps. Although it was a team effort, but the man behind the success is Mr Gurmeet Singh Gill , his efforts are commendable and should be appreciated.
